From a crypto software factory to a fine art tokenisation platform positioned ahead of an emerging market.
Maecenas started as a collaboration with a crypto-based software factory, where the main founder wanted to turn the technology into a product. Together with Bureau, a number of options were analysed — from token exchanges to tokenisation — with the final choice to move forward with fine art tokenisation.
The primary areas of engagement involved structuring and sourcing resources around the core team, completing a founding team, ensuring adequate legal support was available, developing a brand in line with the product, and building relationships with the relevant incumbents to position the platform as a lead in the emerging tokenisation market, avoiding the most saturated areas of the industry.
Deliverables included the ideation, investment material generation, branding, fundraising and subsequent platform build.
